Look who’s 30

One of our skilled production operatives has reached an important milestone in his life.

Karl Summerscales (also known as Taz) will be turning 30 on Monday 2nd February.

He has worked at Masterflex for 7 years.

On a daily basis you can hear Karl singing to the radio, whilst setting the equipment up ready for the hoses to be made.

What a good idea

We recently received these photographs from Purbrook Park School, Hants.

Their Year 8 pupils were asked to research the use of chemicals during WW1, and construct a mask which would save them during a gas attack.

Using off cuts of 51 mm Master Vac, each group was given a catalogue of materials with cost (in old money) from which they could purchase materials up to a cost of 20 shillings.

From these materials, they constructed their mask and had to present their product in a “Dragons Den” style competition to science and engineering experts from the industry.

How will you be celebrating?

Did you know Burns Night is annually celebrated in Scotland on or around January 25?

It commemorates the life of the bard (poet) Robert Burns, who was born on January 25, 1759.

The day also celebrates Burns’ contribution to Scottish culture. Burns’ best known work is “Auld Lang Syne”.

For all our customers who know Masterflex, we pride ourselves on quick delivery and stock availability.

We have just taken delivery of our largest stock consignment yet, manufactured at our sister company Masterflex Cesko, in the Czech Republic.

In this recent shipment we received 27 pallets containing Master Neo and Master Sil Ductings.

This adds up to 108 Boxes, 1230 lengths of hose and 4920 metres in total.

These products manufactured within the group, compliment the products manufactured on site, here in Oldham.

If you have an urgent requirement for Master Neo and Master Sil contact the office directly.

Masterflex use a wide variety of couriers for the best results and the prices are as follows:

Standard next day delivery = £14 per item

(If you place your order before 2:30pm, we can guarantee next day delivery on all stock items)

Large Boxes = £20 per box

Before mid day = £20

Before 10am = £30

Pallet= £40

These prices are for Monday – Friday delivery.
