It is that time of the year again when all school leavers will be getting their GCSE results.

After revising, taking the exams then relaxing over the summer, today is the day all their hard work has hopefully paid off.

Can you remember receiving your results?

The next step now is to go to college, full-time employment or carry out an apprenticeship.

Masterflex goes to Singapore

This week, Colin, the Sales Manager, is travelling to Singapore for his holidays.

He has gone for three weeks to see family  who live over there.

Did you know the current exchange rate is 1 Singapore Dollar = £0.50

There are many languages spoken in Singapore.

The Singapore government recognises four official languages: English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil. The national language is Malay, while English is mainly used as the business and working language.

Here at Masterflex, the only language we speak is hoses and ductings.

The wait is over…… The Football season is here!!!

As you may know the football season is due to start this weekend with Manchester United kicking off on Sunday against West Ham.

Marketing goes horse riding

Last night Hayley, Holly and Kristin went to Holly’s yard to see the horses in Shaw, Oldham.

They took turns riding on Alfie, who is a Welsh part breed.

Holly has 9 horses, who live out in the fields during the day and are stabled at night.

From April to November the horses roam freely, but in the winter months they stay in the stables.

Unlike the horses, Masterflex is open for business Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm manufacturing hoses and ductings.

Industries include Construction, Chemical, Food, Pharmaceutical, Heating, Air conditioning and Ventilation, plus many more.

– She is 17 years old.

– Has 1 sister.

– Owns 1 dog called Oskar, 1 rabbit called Frederick and she also has 20 fish

– She  is currently at college studying Economics and Business studies.

Schools out for summer

Hot or Cold – Which do you prefer?

This week the weather has surprised everyone with a mini heat wave.

Temperatures have reached a high of 35°C across the UK.

Did you know that some hoses are manufactured to withstand high temperatures up to 1100°C?

At the higher end of the temperature range, we create Master Clip 1100, which is used for exhaust fume extraction on large capacity engines, and automotive and aircraft manufacturing.

Medium to high temperature hoses such as Master Sil can be used for gases, plastic industry and waste incinerators. Temperatures can accommodate anything up to 250°C

At the lower end of the scale we make Master Clip Vinyl B which has been designed for air conditioning and ventilation extraction systems.

With every window open and an ice lolly to keep us refreshed, we are able to keep producing Flexible Hose and Ducting for a wide range of industrial applications including extraction of dust and fumes and the conveyance of abrasive media.
