Can England win the Ashes?

This year the Ashes are being held in the UK and the first test match begins today.

Did you know there are 5 test matches in the series, and these are played at different locations around England?

1st Test match = Cardiff – Wednesday 8th July – Sunday 12th July

2nd Test match = London – Thursday 16th July – Monday 20th July

3rd Test match = Birmingham – Wednesday 29th July – Sunday 2nd Aug

4th Test match = Nottingham – Thursday 6th Aug – Monday 10th Aug

5th Test match = London – Thursday 20th Aug – Monday 24th Aug

Hot or Cold – Which do you prefer?

This week the weather has surprised everyone with a mini heat wave.

Temperatures have reached a high of 35°C across the UK.

Did you know that some hoses are manufactured to withstand high temperatures up to 1100°C?

At the higher end of the temperature range, we create Master Clip 1100, which is used for exhaust fume extraction on large capacity engines, and automotive and aircraft manufacturing.

Medium to high temperature hoses such as Master Sil can be used for gases, plastic industry and waste incinerators. Temperatures can accommodate anything up to 250°C

At the lower end of the scale we make Master Clip Vinyl B which has been designed for air conditioning and ventilation extraction systems.

With every window open and an ice lolly to keep us refreshed, we are able to keep producing Flexible Hose and Ducting for a wide range of industrial applications including extraction of dust and fumes and the conveyance of abrasive media.

Did you know that the Magna Carta is 800 years old this year? But what is it?

Magna Carta, meaning ‘The Great Charter’, is one of the most famous documents in the world.

Originally issued by King John of England, on 15th June as a practical solution to the political crisis he faced in 1215,

Magna Carta established for the first time the principle that everybody, including the king, was subject to the law.

Holly will be joining Masterflex for 12 months on an apprenticeship scheme.

While she is with us, she will be studying towards her business admin qualification.

This will include covering aspects of sales, marketing and social media.

In her spare time, Holly enjoys horse riding, meeting up with friends and going to the cinema.
